Woven from 100% wool, the pile offers natural warmth and reliable sound absorption, making busy corridors feel quiet and welcoming. The 9 mm thickness provides a comfortable cushion that stands up to daily movement.

Featuring a high density of 160,000 knots per m2, the rug delivers a dense, luxurious pile with fine pattern clarity and exceptional durability that holds its beauty for generations.

Because this piece is truly one of a kind, no two rugs are identical, and this exact design will never be made again. Owning it means bringing a genuinely unique textile heritage into your home.

Bokhara rugs take their name from the ancient Silk Road city of Bukhara in Central Asia, a historic trading hub where nomadic and town traditions met. Over generations, weavers migrated and brought these distinctive design motifs to Pakistan, where the craft found a thriving new home.

The designation 2ply refers to a traditional technique where the pile is woven using two strands of wool twisted together. This method produces a denser, more lustrous, and longer-lasting pile compared to single-ply construction.

The visual language of this tradition is defined by repeating gul motifs, which are octagonal or elephant-foot shaped medallions arranged in orderly rows. This particular piece displays these classic medallions against a calm blue field, enclosed by detailed geometric borders.

Rugs from this tradition are valued and collected worldwide for their rich cultural heritage and remarkable durability. Owning one connects your space to centuries of skilled artistry and enduring craft traditions.

This rug is entirely hand-knotted by skilled artisans in Pakistan, requiring months of careful, dedicated labor to complete.

With a density of 160,000 knots per m2, every individual knot is placed by hand across the 210 x 78 cm surface, resulting in a total count of approximately 26,200 meticulously tied knots.

This high level of handcrafting ensures a tight, resilient pile structure and precise pattern definition that simple machine-made alternatives cannot replicate.

Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.
