The Sarouk region in the Middle East has long been celebrated for producing some of the most sought-after rugs in the world. Often referred to as the American Sarouk in historical circles due to their popularity in the West during the early 20th century, these pieces are known for their exceptional durability and floral aesthetics.

The term Mohadjeran refers to a specific village within the Sarouk region that became famous for its unique interpretation of traditional designs. Rugs from this area often feature a more balanced and refined floral layout compared to the more expansive or open patterns found in neighbouring weaving centres.

Visually, these rugs are defined by their complex floral motifs, often featuring sweeping vines and stylised blossoms that cover the central field. The borders are typically formal and structured, creating a sense of balance and harmony that complements both traditional and eclectic interior settings.

Collectors value these rugs not only for their beauty but for the deep sense of history they represent. Owning a piece from this tradition is an investment in a storied craft, connecting your home to a lineage of skilled weavers whose techniques have been passed down through generations.

This rug is meticulously hand-knotted by skilled artisans who dedicate months of focused effort to its creation. This traditional process requires immense patience and precision, as each knot is placed individually to ensure the strength and longevity of the final piece.

The density and quality of the construction are evidenced by its substantial weight of 8.2 kg, which speaks to the generous amount of material used. This careful investment of time and resources results in a robust, high-quality floor covering that stands apart from mass-produced alternatives.

Every detail of the intricate pattern is a testament to the artisan's skill and commitment to their craft. The precision achieved through this hand-knotted technique guarantees a sharp, clear design that will hold its form and elegance long into the future.
