This beautiful, one-of-a-kind Tabriz rug serves as a testament to the enduring appeal of Middle Eastern textile traditions. Its compact size and vibrant colour palette make it an ideal choice for adding a touch of character to a quiet corner, a small hallway, or as a thoughtful accent in a study.

Woven from high-quality Wool, the rug offers a tactile warmth that is both comforting and practical. The material provides a soft, inviting surface underfoot while naturally absorbing sound, which helps create a more peaceful and grounded atmosphere within your living environment.

The intricate design centres on a bold, classic medallion that radiates outward, framed by a decorative border filled with stylized floral motifs. Because each piece is individually hand-knotted, the subtle variations in the pattern ensure that the rug you choose is entirely unique, existing nowhere else in the world.

Owning this rug means welcoming a piece of authentic artistry into your home. Its dense construction provides a level of durability that allows it to maintain its beauty over many years, serving as a reliable and aesthetically pleasing foundation for your daily life.

Tabriz rugs originate from one of the oldest rug-weaving centres in the Middle East, located in the historic city of Tabriz. This region has served as a vital crossroads on the ancient trade routes for centuries, allowing local artisans to blend diverse cultural influences into a distinct and highly respected design language.

The technical mastery required to produce a Tabriz rug is legendary. The craft relies on a sophisticated system of knotting that allows for the creation of incredibly detailed and varied patterns, which are often characterised by their precision and adherence to traditional layouts that have been passed down through generations of weavers.

Visually, these rugs are celebrated for their balanced compositions. While they often feature central medallions and elaborate floral borders, they are also known for a vast repertoire of pictorial and geometric motifs. The use of colour in this particular piece, with its bold red and pink tones, highlights the artistic freedom that defines the finest examples of this tradition.

Collectors value Tabriz rugs for their combination of historical significance and enduring structural integrity. Owning a piece from this tradition is an investment in human skill and cultural history, offering a sense of permanence and depth that only a hand-crafted textile can provide to a modern home.

This piece is meticulously hand-knotted, a labour-intensive process that requires immense skill and attention to detail. Every individual knot is placed by hand, creating a robust and resilient pile that is built to stand the test of time.

The construction of this rug involves a significant investment of time and human effort, far surpassing that of mass-produced alternatives. With a weight of 1.7 kg for its 80 x 52 cm size, the density of the Wool reflects the concentrated work required to achieve such a refined and durable finish.
